Australia offers a fabulous setting to enjoy a medical sabbatical, an overseas elective or a permanent medical career. From red deserts and green jungles to golden beaches and vibrant cities, there really is ‘Nothing like Australia’.
Australia consistently ranks as one of the world’s best places to live by all indices of income, human development, healthcare and civil rights. It's the world's 13th-largest economy and has the world's sixth-highest per capita income. It's the sixth-largest country in the world by land mass, but it has a comparatively small population (circa 23 million), which is concentrated in and around metropolitan cities and coastal areas.
Due to Australia's growing population and booming economy there’s a real need for Doctors. There is a mix of public and private healthcare in Australia and depending on where you go you could work in a large metropolitan teaching hospital or in a remote outpost covering a large geographical area - or anything in between. Some of the unique experiences that you can have in Australia include joining the Flying Doctors or working within remote Aboriginal communities.
New Zealand is a small country with majestic landscapes and beautiful coastlines, which retains its sense of community spirit and a clean, green international profile. Kiwis are passionate about sports, the arts and music, and the laidback lifestyle has great appeal for urban sophisticates, outdoor enthusiasts and families, whatever you’re into.
The medical registration and immigration processes are straightforward for Doctors with qualifications from comparable countries (Sweden included) and our Licensed Immigration Adviser and Recruitment Consultants will support and assist you all the way through. We recruit to both permanent and fixed term roles (6 months minimum), spanning the length and breadth of NZ, in tertiary referral centres, district general hospitals and small semi-rural hospital settings. NZ employers offer professionally rewarding roles in modern and spacious working environments, with competitive salaries and a commitment to continuing medical education, as well as an opportunity for you to really contribute and help shape a vital public health service.
The United Arab Emirates is divided into seven emirates, with two thirds of the population living in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Expatriates make up an estimated 80% of the population.
Particularly during the credit boom that built up after 2000, the UAE emerged as a cosmopolitan hub for the Middle East. Significant amounts of foreign investment enabled project such as the palm-shaped artificial Palm Island or the Burj Khalifa skyscraper - the world's current tallest building. And despite being hit by the global financial crisis, trade, the retail sector and tourism are still going strong.
A paradise for shoppers, the UAE boasts several gigantic shopping malls and Dubai's gold souk is nothing short of spectacular.
The Dubai International Film Festival and the Sharjah International Book Fair attract visitors from all over the world. Both Abu Dhabi and Dubai have ambitious plans to open world-class museums and galleries, including their own versions of the Guggenheim and the Louvre. There is also a lively dance and music scene with festivals and international acts performing in the UAE.
Sports fans can head to the Formula One Grand Prix or enjoy more traditional sports such as falconry and camel racing.
